John Moroney and Louise Williams established the stud with the idea of producing quality youngstock in mind . The idea was to use mares with their own performance record in various disciplines and a suitable stallion to achieve the performance horse . The stud still uses a number of its own mares and stallions , for this purpose , Youngstock are handled from the day they are born and produced in a way that they accept competitive life from the onset . All of the home bred stock that are sold on are done so knowing that they are suitable for the job they were bred for and have individual personalities known inside out.

Both John and Louise have competed to high standards , John regularly competed on the English circuit producing and selling jumpers and then unselfishly gave up his rides for Louise to compete in International YR teams . Louise has represented Wales since 12.2 hh ponies all the way through to Young rider teams , and deservedly holds the title of most capped Welsh Rider . She has competed in the Queen Elizabeth Cup and at Wembley , The Royal International , Hickstead etc on numerous occasions , and in Nations Cup Teams.

The yard competes regularly in Showjumping , Eventing and Showing . Where the youngsters are brought on and produced and get their first taste of competitive life, and the established graded horses earn their keep!

Louise is a BHSAI and has HND in equine studies , and is currently doing her BSc in equine science, she regularly teaches competitive children at home and shows alike . The yard runs various clinics from basic stable management to jumping clinics .

Their children Kieran and Kassandra both ride and are looking forward to a competitive career , both already having a number of rosettes from local shows .
